Character Description and History

Glindinford grew up in the large city of Baldur's Gate . He was orphaned at a early age by his gnomish father and his mother had died in childbirth. Thus Glindinford grew up in the thieves section of Baldur's Gate . There he felt like he had somesort of family , something to cling to . Then at the young age of 13 Glindinford's "Family" came to a violent end in a Flaming Fist raid against the guild .

Wanted by the Fist Glindinford fled south to Beregost were he treid to make it as a burgler . He was successful at first but then made the error of trying to burgle the room of a visiting scribe from Candlekeep . The scribe tracked down Glindinford and demanded that he repay him for what he stole . When Glindinford told him he could not give him back the money , the scribe who's name was Edgar then ordered Glindinford to repay him by being his man servant for 15 years.

Glindinford accepted the deal and made plans for a quick escape . But it was not to be so as the scribe kept a watchful eye on Glin and did not let him out of his sight. But by the time they had gotten to Candlekeep Glin had no more ideas of escaping from Edgar in fct he wanted to go to Candlekeep . The reason for this was that he had been snooping around Edgars stuff and he found his spellbook . After eargerly reading through the spell book he had a taste of the world of the arcane and begged for Edgar to teach him more . Edgar rather suprised by the sudden turn of events decided to teach Glindinford. After all in his reasoning if would be better to have a loyal servant/apprentice then a servent waiting to sink a knife in your back . And what better place to study the art of the arcane then Candlekeep!

In the fifteen years that passed, Glin delved deeply into the art of the arcane and with the help of some items stolen off guests of Candlekeep's Inn Glin quickly became Edgar's Equal. 15 years later Glin left Candlekeep and headed back to Baldur's Gate . There he rejoined the thieves guild and became one of there most skilled members .But history seemed to repeat itself, for Glin as only a few months after he had rejoined the guild was wiped out by a rival thieves guild . With a price of 50,000 gold on his head Glin flees south to Beregost and hopefully Candlekeep.......
