Character Description and History

Helk Lives in Eveningstar. He is quite the academian and scholar, having developed several potions himself. The Clacky-Squishy is among these. It's a magically treated variety of mollusc that can be broken open and smeared upon wounds or diseased skin to heal and cure.

Helk is the foremost expert on knives in Cormyr. He does not dabble in thier construction himself, but instead studies the styles and manners of creation of knives from all over Abeir-Toril. He has been consulted by many notables regarding his information.

Also, while adventuring earlier in life he realized the need for safety in casting. He thus developed a version of magic missile that can be fired around corners using a mirror. Instead of striking the mirror, it seeks the source of that image.

Helk is a crude, brutally honest, and quite abrasive individual. His hair remains unkempt and un-cut; his home is cluttered and disorganized.

He currently spends his time as a hedge-wizard in Eveningstar, helping the farmers with gophers and insects. He also repairs knives on the side. He leaves Eveningstar only to travel to Arabel...usually to do some research or to buy a new knife from abroad.
