Posted - 22 Aug 2008 : 14:28:27 After doing a lot of research, my char. found the location of the Neather Scrolls. After learning about their powers he wants to go and study them. Apparently their reside in the Windsong Tower i Myth-Drannor, and finding that elusive floor is suposed to be most dificult.
Now to my question, Have any successfully brought them in play in your campagn?
Also... Any knowledge about the scrolls would be nice. |

Posted - 11 Sep 2008 : 23:39:50 So all one needs to do is a bit shapechanging ;) Better yet, as a anarchomancer (1 level, have to be a bit of an illusionist) & expend 1000gp+1000xp, and voila.. you can become something else entirely.
Such as a human illusionist 15/anarchomancer 1 -> Elven wizard 16 All new feats and skills. You can even completely remodel your abilityscores.. |

Just a note... The Scrolls is transformed inte the tree of knowledge or whatever it is called. How does one disypher the scrolls when in the form of a tree???
Ask an elf...
Correct. The scrolls are easier for elves to decipher when in that form. It can be converted back to the traditional "paper with writing that you can read", but its not as simple as chopping the tree and making paper out of it in hopes that the writing will appear |

Posted - 23 Aug 2008 : 20:42:25 Indeed, my players managed to find two of them in a Sarrukh tomb (that was unknowingly adjacent to a dwarven tomb that the party was interested in.) and besides putting them to good use (the entire party picking up the basics of arcana), one was subsequently risked as a wager to provoke the head of the Hillsfar Red Wizard enclave into a mageduel, resulting in the party getting one of their staves recharged, a new staff of evocation, and ten of the enclave's choicest slaves* as the prize for winning the duel. The scrolls themselves were later donated to the House of Mystra in Harrowdale, earning the party very favored status with the Church.
*The PCs took some of the most educated and useful slaves of the enclave, including their scribe and their animal groom. After some negotiations, the PC's hired them and went together to form an adventuring company. |
