Posted - 21 Jun 2025 : 21:21:17 Apologies for the long wait on this. Lots going on as of late. Anyway, this appears to be the winner of that poll I made, so here we go. Feats involved in foiling the shenanigans of this creature (including but not limited to the Druuth Slayer feat from Champions of Valor) are recommended.
1) Paladin, likely one who worships Tyr, Torm or (if Dwarven) Moradin or Berronar Truesilver. Max ranks in Sense Motive might help. 2) Ranger with Shapechanger as top Favored Enemy. Abberation may be the second best idea, since that is the base type of Doppelgangers AND those involved in a Druuth may also have a Mindflayer in charge. Druuth Slayer is a must. 3) Druid with the Abolisher PrC (Lords of Madness). 4) Cleric with spells like True Seeing available. Knowledge domain might be a bonus here. 5) Rogue with max ranks in detection skills (namely Spot) to sniff out a shapechanged Doppelganger. Slippery Mind might be recommended in case mind control magics or abilities are used by any opponents. 6) Wizard or Sorcerer with spells to discern and dispel disguises or prevent any form of mind control or such.
Optional: Barbarian with Druuth Slayer feat, or Warlock with skills or invocations that foil disguises or deception.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment. What do you folks think? |

I recommend monstrous humanoids as primary favored enemy and keep aberrations as secondary. If possible, the cleric should have levels in Church Inquisitor PrC. Tyr would grant Knowledge domain. Abolisher is great as long as there are indeed mind-flayer led druuths. In that case, I recommend recruiting a meleeist with illithid slayer PrC for good measure.
