Does anyone know if an Archdruid PrC has been detailed anywhere? I'm thinking something similar to the Archwizard PrC but with druidic powers for the spellcasting druid. If not I may take a look at creating one myself  |

After getting the Fighter and Elf books I stopped - and was stunned to read in the author's comments that he was overly sick of elves, and hated the decision that was made to saddle him (the author) with the burden of writing the Quintessential Elf. Sure, you do what you're assigned, but what does that say about a company when it assignes a a project to someone that they probably knew wouldn't like the subject material? (I can't see him NOT saying anything, even if "I'll do it, but you know, I hate elves.") |

Well, I run a low-level campaign right now, so prestige classes haven't even entered the radar yet. So, I really can't tell you if the archdruid writeup in QD is any good. My reaction to it was more of the lack of inspiring ideas that made me say "I've got to add this to my campaign somehow." Quintessential Cleric had a lot of those types of items for me, and I bought QD on the strength of QC. I just wasn't inspired at all, and our player running a druid wasn't either. |

If there isn't any text on the cover, near the bottom center, that says compatible with 3.5 then it's 3.0. :) |

I believe that the first release of the "Quintessential X" series of books was entirely geared to 3.0. Their latest releases in this series, the "Quintessential X II" is advertised as 3.5 compatible.
I own two of the original series, and haven't found too many problems in updating them to 3.5. However, beware that there is a large variety of quality in this series. Some books are great, and are a trove of good ideas. Others I haven't touched since the day I bought them, and find them useless.
Unfortunately, the "Quintessential Druid" falls in the 'useless' catagory IMO. |

Is there a way to tell which books by Mongoose are for what edition? For example in the first set of books they have reference to "Wilderness Lore" a skill which I believe was taken out in 3.x so those are earlier editions but what about the second set are they for 3.x? |

I had though the Hierophant was more for clerics but I see druids can be them too and that does look like what I was wanting though their spells/day does not keep increasing those are some nifty powers so I think that would work well. |
