Posted - 14 Feb 2005 : 06:33:08 I'm a new DM and I’m starting in Chult with a closer in Thay, but before I get too far ahead of my-self. I'm having trouble finding a way to direct them to peaks of flame. That’s where they are gonna meet important characters to the story at the base and recruit a party member inside.
The Campaign is kind of a part 2 to a campaign they just finished but they are playing different characters and I plan to involve there old Characters into the story.
It all opens with a shipwreck on the wild coast of Chult. I have the coast lined with difficult encounters to "passively" keep them off the coast, but that’s where I'm having trouble... should I just hope it works in my favor?

If not keep giving suggestion, the last 2 entries really sparked some ideas. |

Hmm, now thats a great idea.
the campaign is gonna be a long journey, anyone have a good idea other than battle encounters for them to take on?
Lost cities, the remnants of previous explorers... For a really odd one, a shipwreck in the middle of the jungle will really make the PCs wonder (this could be a spelljammer or a Halruaan skyship)... |

Also the Peaks of Flame are likely to be the only visable land mark in the jungle, also there quite high might be a good place for the characters to go so they can see where they need to travel to.... |
