I kind of need your opinions on a matter involving in part the realms.

It's about half-races. I've been looking for templates that help me build a mixture of two different races. The reason is that these races have been living mixed for a long time and eventually they have had offspring.

One example are the Worghest(Hlaf Goblin/Bugbear, half Barghest) in the deserts mouth but I was also looking for other examples, like half Duergar half Goblin etc are there any rules to create such characters. Could you help me?

Thanks, you have been very kind.

I would ask another question if you would allow me. It's about Cohorts and followers.
How do you handle this I have a campaign in which my characters are allowed to have Cohorts and Followers. Do allow your players to build their own Cohorts and followers. What is your more experienced opinion on how to use cohorts?

Thanks ahead.

Oh also have a look in Unearthed Arcana for ideas of bloodline altered races (i.e. still the base race, but with some modifications from breeding a few generations back(

Bastards & Bloodlines: A Guidebook to Halfbreeds is an interesting book by Green Ronin, many of the level adjustments are too low according to the level adjustment rules that I have read, but other than that, there are some good/weird racial combinations.
When I am making a half-race, I look at the racial adjustments for the race you want to use, and half those. Take the halved ability adjustments and add them to the ability adjustments of your base creature, halved. For instance, on orc's strength adjustment is a +4, therefore a half-orc's is +2 (Orc +4/2 + Human +0/2=+2)

For extraordinary abilities for half-races, I usually keep them from both parents. As far as supernatural or spell-like abilities for half-races, in my opinion they should not be as powerful as those of a full-blood, so I water them down. For instance, a half-troll would have fast healing rather than regeneration.

Be careful to look at more than just 'half' and the full blood statblocks though. Just a warning, as sometimes the names aren't always too clear (i.e. a half celestial is more powerful than a celestial)

Savage Species has all the rules for that sort of thing.

Of course, it's a fairly easy thing to eyeball it too. Just take the stats of each creature one by one and then avearge them together.

If a creature has special abilities, you wan't to either halve their power or take half of them away.
