Posted - 05 Jan 2007 : 01:42:15 I was arguing with my DM on how the Bestow Curse should work.
Lets say you have an intelligent PLANT creature like a treant or a shambling mount.
Can you use BESTOW CURSE to remove its natural immunity to mind-affecting spells like charm or suggestion?
Mod Edit: Moved to a more appropriate shelf.

Posted - 05 Jan 2007 : 11:39:25 There's a 5th lvl. spell called Trait Removal in Serpent Kingdoms, it works on plants, removes one Ex or Su from one target for 1 hour per level, tough casting time is one hour, so maybe you can balance it out with your DM for the curse, e.g. reduce duration or put some xp drain ... |

It isn’t possible to remove a creatures natural immunities with this spell.
As i recall there is a higer level spell that can remove creatures immunities, cant remember what spell.

The text in the PHB, also goes on to say that:
"You may invent your own curse, but it should be no more powerful than those described above, and the DM has final say on the curse's effect."
The question then becomes whether or not the removal of natural immunity is more powerful than -6 to an ability, or -4 to attack, etc. ~Kes |
