Posted - 04 Nov 2013 : 11:24:38 I did'nt mind the succubi defection to the devils side, after all demons are not known for their loyalty but yeah the yugoloth thing was not such a good idea. |

Posted - 02 Nov 2013 : 16:55:34 I don't think it ever did end, it's just that the Abyss, once pushed below the Elemental Chaos, wasn't worth the effort of sending armies to compared to simply following the River Styx.
I was more annoyed at the amalgamation of the yugoloths with the demons and succubi being turned into devils. |

Posted - 02 Nov 2013 : 12:57:31 Glad to hear it. Frankly this was one of the changes brought forth in 4e that I was never keen on. The Blood War is after all something that helped maintain the cosmic balance, suddenly it ends and then nothing happens.... Doesn't make much sense to me. |

Some of us were never convinced that the Blood War ever stopped, y‘know.
And given the power of personal perspectives, individual mental comprehension, and alternate flows of temporal energies on the planes... it's entirely conceivable that while the Blood War may have stopped "officially" -- in some places and on other planes, it likely would've still raged without any of it's participants knowing what was happening elsewhere. Let alone the calling of a truce or even a halt of the hostilities between the individual factions of the war. |

Posted - 01 Nov 2013 : 13:09:42 Many people hunger for more demon/devil lore. The (relatively) great sales of demon/devil-centric novels (Brimstone Angels, The Godborn, etc.) kind of confirm that. And what else can WotC do but give in to the fans' cravings? |

I'm pretty sure they've already explicitly confirmed the return of the Blood War.
Indeed.
There was even a lengthy discussion here at Candlekeep about just how the resumption of the Blood War would effect -- if at all -- the Realms. |
