If you want to keep within that section of the Realms however, there's "nearby" temples to Lathander in Voonlar, and one in Raven's Bluff.
The Moonsea sourcebook only mentions a shrine to Lathander in the outskirts of Voonlar.

The major cities of Impiltur like Lyrabar and Hlammach would likely have temples to Lathander, though likely not grandiose ones.
Would anyone manage to point me into the right direction to obtain information for these areas? Sourcebooks from any Editions, etc. 2e's City of Raven's Bluff for the Lathander temple reference. As I recall, there's a brief mention in Forgotten Realms Adventures as well.
Voonlar's temple is mentioned in The Moonsea accessory.
As for Lathander temples in Impiltur, I don't recall, specifically, any being named. Though, given the fact that Lyrabar and Hlammach are classed as metropolis-sized locales and usually see a great deal of people from elsewhere in the Realms pass through, it's likely that Lathander has some representation in both cities.

Posted - 12 Jul 2006 : 00:36:45 No, it doesn't have to be, but places like Voonlar, Raven's Bluff, Lyrabar and Hlammach are suitable because I dont see it as a big fancy temple because to be honest, the clergy doesnt know about this....group :D. |

Well, to answer the last bit first. I'll give just a bit of insight tho, he is a follower of Lathander and is a sorcerer (yes). He wants to have someone keep something at one of the nearest temples, a box of sorts It has something that is rather importantant to Lathander.
Nothing wrong with a sorcerer who follows L. Does the temple need to be in the Narfell area?

But I like to try and tie things in that are cannon to give the more 'real feel' of it.
Yes, I agree--there can definitely be fun in "participating" in these events, in one's own way. |

That doesn't mean you have to walk in lockstep with everything though. :)
We might be able to give you more suggestions if you tell us why he wants to go to a temple.

Or you could just add one. :) Shrug.... Just because there isn't one in canon doesn't mean there can't be one there. There's probably a lot of temples/shrines/etc that have never been mentioned before in canon.
Great point. Also, why not have the temple headed by someone actively trying to make the religion more popular? That kind of venture might not always be successful, but where would the Realms be if no one ever tried? |

Posted - 11 Jul 2006 : 01:20:37 There's a map for Narfell in The Bloodstone Lands, though given the lack of a proper Lathander-based temple, it may no longer be useful for you.

Thank you Krash, tis been a question I've been seeking answer for a while now. I'll have to do some slight editing and choose a new area, but none the less I appreicate it muchly :D |

Posted - 11 Jul 2006 : 00:37:59 The worship of Lathander isn't particularly common in the Narfell area - certainly not sufficient to warrant a temple being located there. The other difficulty is that Narfell has no real major cities and hence again, no real location for a temple. A wayside shrine might be your best bet.
