I would like to know more about the Mistmaster and who he actually is after reading the North 2nd edition sourcebook. The role he played in the fall of Hellgate Keep was pretty significant so I am amazed that he gets so small an entry in the North sourcebook. Or is Ed of the Greenwood being extremely mysterious?  |

I've got most of the files on my work machine, on the external hard drive... Maybe that'll be my next lunchtime project: flipping Word docs to pdf. And if I ever get done with the documentation I need to do, the pushing out of new machines, the updating of my inventory, and the other crap that keeps me busy, I could work on it in the 2.7 spare moments I get each day... |

Indeed.
It's taken me nearly a year just to convert the majority of my smaller web content files into PDF. I still haven't converted any of the larger files yet, like those containing the WotN articles and Ed's Realmslore.

I refuse to buy Dragon magazines. I borrow them for free at my local library. Plus it seems like I am the only person that reads them.  Why is that?  Heck, I don't mind. I have free reign over those magazines! |

Hello-
I suppose so, Jorkens - I suppose so.
However - YOU have the advantage in some ways - I dont have the Dragon archive on CD-ROM - I just have the magazines. And *Almost* all of them. I think I'm missing a dozen issues or so - and if I remember correctly - I'm 'complete' from around issue 30 on or so. Yeah - that takes up an entire Bookcase, along with the Dungeon magazines..... So - I'd dearly like to have the ability to print-out stuff from the magazines to keep handy. But I could not justify spending the money - when I probably had everything in them anyway. I may yet pick it up - but no time soon I'm afraid.

Just be glad you don't own the Dragon magazine archives and hate reading on the computer. I think its about ten binders now and I am still finding new things. I haven't even started on snarfquest. With Ed's notes now filling four or five binders I can soon get a separate bookshelf just for (A)D&D binders |

Hello-
I'm not nearly as tech-savvy as I would like to be on such matters. However - I just print everything out. :) That way - I can pull pages that are of interest/use and take them with me if needed. It Does take up some space - and Whoa - the ink and paper I went through when catching up last fall! LOL But - its all good. Oh - and Garage Sales are your Friend when it comes to purchasing binders! I've probably got 5-10 more 4"+ D-ring binders that I paid no more than a buck each for, as well as numerous smaller ones. The big ones go for like 15-25 a pop retail new!

It's an important habit to maintain... especially when some of the more lore-filled web material temporarily disappears and you suddenly find yourself needing it for a campaign or for reference purposes.
I've transferred most of my old Word documents with WotC FR content into PDFs, simply because the SEARCH function in Adobe Reader makes finding *that particular* reference easier than the more generalised search function in Word.

I'll echo this last point. There's a couple of items I know of that used to be on the Wizards site, but aren't anymore... Myself, whenever they have something interesting, I immediately copy it to a new Word document. |

No problem and the WOTC web site is just horrible to navigate through. :) I wish they'd have a better search feature. |

One last thing, how do you better navigate through the novel section at WotC? I keep finding awesome links to info critical to better lore knowledge but lack the knowledge to navigate to more info in the novel section. |
