I stumbled onto this forum while researching myths and stories about Sharess.
I just started a new character who is a devotee of Sharess/cats.
It looks like a great forum - I look forward to discussing various issues about the Forgotten Realms here. |

Posted - 06 Jun 2009 : 19:16:42 Welcome to the halls, fellow loreseeker. I echoe Fillow´s statements precisely, this is the best place for lore betwixt the crumbles of lore forgotten in Ed Greenwood´s beard and Steven Schend´s crahed hard drives.
Enjoy. |

Posted - 06 Jun 2009 : 17:06:26 Thanks for the greeting, Fillow. Hello to you too.
My screenname is one I use in a lot of places. 'Belgarath' is one of my favorite characters from high fantasy literature. He is in a series of books by David Eddings called the Belgariad, if you didn't already know.
And 'MTH' is my initials.
The two moderators are indeed very nice, and they seem to have a lot of expertise and knowledge about Forgotten Realms.

Posted - 06 Jun 2009 : 01:43:26 Greetings to you belgarathmth, and welcome to Candlekeep.
Here you will find many curious questions pertaining to the extensive Realmslore of the FR setting. As well, you will also discover many fantastic answers -- some of which have even been generously provided by the Great Sages of the Realms themselves.
So please, take a look around. If you feel the need to ask a question, or to merely discuss some element of the Realmslore, then simply find the appropriate place or shelf within the library and open a scroll. One of our many knowledgeable scribes, the dedicated staff of Candlekeep, or even a visitor to these halls, will always be happy to assist you in learning more about the Realms.
See you in the library.

Posted - 05 Jun 2009 : 23:45:49 Welcome to Candlekeep!
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay! |
