Greeting fellow travellers ,
I am new to Candlekeep , yet have many years experience with drow lore . Still I am flustered in my lack of information about the crown wars! is there any novels on the subject?

The single source with the most info on the Crown Wars is Lost Empires of Faerun, which devotes a whole chapter to the subject. Champions of
Ruin also has some information, under the heading for Malkizid.

Again, I think Evermeet is it for the novels. Most Realms novels have been in the here-and-now.

Thank you wooly,
I have been a fan of the drow ever since I read my first R A Salvatore book. Yet after reading the war of the spider queen series I wish to know more about dark elf culture and history . Is there any novels covering the crown wars or is all the information contained in encyclopaedias and text books ?

any info would be much appreciated.

The Crown Wars are touched on briefly in Evermeet, but I think that's the only novel to cover them.

Sourcebook-wise, there's some info on them in Cormanthyr, which is a free download from the Wizards downloads page.

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!
