Posted - 15 Apr 2010 : 07:26:15 Hello all. New to the forums, and thought I'd pop in and say hi. This Web site has been a huge resource for me in my Forgotten Realms games. I'm currently running a Pathfinder/Forgotten Realms conversion game using source materials from Sons of Gruumsh, Cormyr and Shadowdale adventure modules, which is new for me. I look forward to talking about my game with you guys. |

"Yeah, well I didn't look at the by-laws of being a Great Reader, so I didn't know it's part of the job to welcome newb-", turns and sees the newcomer
*ahem* Yes, welcome to the illustrious halls of Candlekeep. Pull up a chair, check out some scrolls, there's a nice one over there talking with Ed of the Greenwood (just ignore the 'doodles' of The Lady Hooded One in the margins), and if you have any questions, comments or ideas, feel free to share!
Returns through the same portal he came in, "How was that? Can I get back to converting scribes to Pathfinder now?" |

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay! |

Posted - 15 Apr 2010 : 08:01:28 Greetings to you maelstrom, and welcome to Candlekeep.
Here you will find many curious questions pertaining to the extensive Realmslore of the FR setting. As well, you will also discover many fantastic answers -- some of which have even been generously provided by the Great Sages of the Realms themselves.
So please, take a look around. If you feel the need to ask a question, or to merely discuss some element of the Realmslore, then simply find the appropriate place or shelf within the library and open a scroll. One of our many knowledgeable scribes, the dedicated staff of Candlekeep, or even a visitor to these halls, will always be happy to assist you in learning more about the Realms.
See you in the library.
