Posted - 28 May 2010 : 11:28:50 I just wanted to thank this beautiful board. I've been to other messageboards, and I seem to get attacked over asking questions, or asking for clarifaction such as recently at Giant in the playground roleplaying board.
So yeah. I love this board. I belive this will be my main Roleplaying board. (Seeing as I really only talk about Forgotten Realms anyway when I research Dungeons and Dragons. |

You're welcome dracons. We of Candlekeep strive hard to ensure all our scribes' Realms needs are fulfilled to the very best of our ability.
Where's the key to the Calishite dancing girls room again?
You'll find out once you hit 10,000 posts. Is that enough incentive for you?
So, if I keep posting at my normal rate, I should get there in about 7 years...
Heck, I'm in this for the long haul anyway. |

Posted - 29 May 2010 : 16:01:32 I myself have gotten in a couple of notable debates, but overall, I've always felt that Candlekeep was a friendly and welcoming place.
I'm only active on one other forum, and it's not nearly as friendly and welcoming -- and in particular, I've had issues with one of the mods there. On that particular forum, I once had a mod edit one of my posts to reflect his own opinion, which was the opposite of mine. I have zero proof, but I think it was the same mod I have issues with. I almost left that forum over that particular incident, and I prolly would have, but the owner of the forum gotten involved, and another mod tried working with me on the whole issue.
I've mentioned oft enough my issues with the WotC forums. Even if they did take the necessary steps to bring me back -- a public apology and lifting the ban on my username -- I prolly still wouldn't go back there.
I've gotten involved in a couple of discussions on the Privateer Press forums, and it's been a bad experience both times.
I once started a discussion about a new CD on that band's own forums. And there was so little interest in that discussion that I've never gone back.
So yeah, I agree: this is better than other boards! And I for one appreciate every person that helps make this forum so much better than the rest I've been too.*
Particularly myself, of course! |
