I've just joined up, though I'm not a complete newb to the Realms. I've been reading the novels off and on since the mid-90s and even ran a short campaign set in Shadowdale during that time (it began with the 1st level adventure printed in the 2nd edition boxed set).
I'd stayed away from Realms gaming for a while, especially with the hoopla made over the 4e changes. But now that I have an eager group of novices and veterans alike, I'm going to give it a try by embracing the changes in the updated Realms and running a campaign that should see the PCs visit Returned Abeir. Wish me (and the PCs!) luck. |

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
