Greetings and Salivations from the Heart of Alabama (USA). I am relatively new reader to the Forgotten Realms. I have read Dark Elf And Icewind Dale from Salvatore, and I am currently reading Erevis Cale Trilogy from Kemp.

I have been reading fantasy for almost 20 years, mostly in Tolkien's Middle Earth. I read Icewind Dale a long time ago and absolutely loved it. I am going to re-read it as part of reading the Legend of Drizzt books.

Just found this site from Paul S Kemp's links site.

Look forward to being active here.

Michael

Hmm, I', not "Deep South", but Texas is sure-'nuff South enough for me! Howdy, there, greenhorn! LOL!! Gee, Wooly, I had no idea you were in Florida. Makes sense though- where else but the home of Disneyland would you expect to find the Giant Space Hamster??! LOL!!!

Heh. I'm about an hour or so from Disney, and also an hour or so from Cape Canaveral.

That explain how the Giant Space Hamster made it here!

For the rest welcome to Candlekeep Michael

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

I used to live in Alabama myself, in Prattville and in Milbrook. And though I don't care about sports, I quite enjoy the Alabama-Auburn rivalry (Roll Tide!).

Welcome to Candlekeep, Michael. Alabama is Deep South?

As I recall from my own time living there, Alabama puts "Heart of Dixie" on their license tags. As far as the rest of the US is concerned, Alabama is very much in the South.

Oddly, I'm further south, in Florida... But culturally speaking, not all of Florida is in the South!

Why did I think of Little Nicky when I saw the topic of this post?
