Hello, Candlekeep-Forums! I am, to my knowledge at least, the newest member of the Candle-keep forums! Fantasy Fiction, and the Forgotten Realms have always been some of my favorites in general, as far as fiction goes.
However, to my shame, believe it or not, I have never played a DnD game. Ever. Never. Nada. Zilch. I am sad to say, my parents fell for the old very late seventies through mid eighties "Dungeons and Dragons is satanic!" Hoax....Or is it a hoax........... 
With all seriousness, it is a pity they fell for that. My imagination, was, and is, my only friend, outside of my immediant family. Well, that and my mass amount of video games, and books. I have, gone as far as creating many, many worlds. On of which, I made long before I even knew about Dungeons and Dragons, or, in particular, Faerun/ The forgotten realms, which I have named Destith. Not much to talk about that, seeing it is irrelavent to my introduction. However, if anyone wants to really know about it........shoot me a PM or something. It is very fleshed out and------ aww, I'll skip my life as an Author, and go back to my forum introduction.
Not REALLY that much to say about myself. I am still in school. I love all the different lore that is in the in the FR. At the moment, I am reading the wonderful (So far!) Drizzt Books by R.A. Salvatore, which I am sure you are all familiar with, and I am playing the very in depth Baldur's Gate (Non-Dark Alliance) games.
Not much to say besides all that, except...
I am sure I will enjoy my stay at the Candlekeep-forums. |

Welcome to the Keep. Hope it's a long fun stay for you. And I'll let you in on a little secret, I haven't played D&D for more than 20 years now, but I still love the Realms.

Lets see: friendly...if you're not a drow or orc, at which I mostly shoot first and ask question almost never; mostly harmless...with as often as my spells "misfire", i think not  ; and as for occasionally strange...a far better description than I'd admit to

Welcome to Candlekeep!
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here! 
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

I've only played D&D 3 or 4 times myself, so you aren't completely alone. I mainly read the novels. |
