Long time player, recent reader, first time poster. Came up on 2e and then, about 10 years ago, just stopped playing. Got back in with 4e about 2 months ago.
I have to say, the level of knowledge on here is staggering. I look forward to getting to know everyone. It's probably a lot less creepy now that I have a profile and don't just lurk and read posts!
...although I did pick a pretty creepy avatar...
Oh, and I'm a long-time FR novel reader. Started with Drizzt (surprise!) back in the day but recently read WotSQ (awesome) and Lady Penitent (well, I like drow, so there).

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
