I am a relatively new scribe in the worlds of the Forgotten Realms and research quite a lot on oghmanyte Lore. I would like to start off with a question I have. I wanted to know more details about the split of the Church of Oghma and what makes their branches so different. From what I've seen the main ones are Church of Sembia, Orthodox Church and Church in Exile. The sembians still believe in choosing a Patriach to be head of the church while the Orthodox do not agree with a mortal-chosen Patriarch. I mostly play in 5e but adapt things I like from older editions for lore too. If anyone could explain the differences to me or just give me some input I'd be thankful

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay! |

Welcome aboard! Start a post in the regular forums about your interest in Oghma. That way you will get credit for posting. You can also use the "Search" function (located at the top of the website) to do searches. Be advised that this website has been around a LONG TIME... so a Search will get you a LOT of responses. Good Luck! |
