Posted - 05 Oct 2006 : 17:07:57 I was wondering whether or not new FR novels will have myth dranor as a recaptured elven citadel, or will other authors ignore the outcome of the last mythal series. Is the knighs of myth dranor series set post last mythal? I believe this is the largest event i've read about in a FR book, (aside from everybody saving the world in every book) and it would be nice if it actually affected other cities in the realms. |

Posted - 06 Oct 2006 : 04:09:31 I am really interested in the new Myth Drannor and have posed several questions to ed and richard baker regarding what it will be like. Seeing as the rebuilding of Myth Drannor takes place, IIRC, 4 or so years after the novel's events- we likely won't hear about the changes for a long while off (due to the time that passes in the real world compared to the game world... its still a logn way off). This does give the developers a long chance to think about the situation. I hope they consider changing the name of Myth Drannor seeing as that name isn't very old (relatively) and it had been abandoned previously.
p.s.- This topic might be better off in the realms events sections or in one of the last mythal book threads. |

Other authors can't ignore it. They can sidestep it by not involving that area, but novels are canon, so Myth Drannor has officially returned to elven hands.

Nope, it's well before then. And before the Time of Troubles, too. |
