Hail!!
Some weeks ago I bought all the NwN games. But when I came home I discovered to my horror that they had not putted in the manuals. So now I wont to read about the new, cool prestige classes I cant , so I wondered if anyone knows of a side that contains informasion about the new prestige classes, and other things the manual might contain.

Go to your NWN directory. There sits a file called "nwncdkey.ini." It records all your CD-keys, original and expansion packs alike.
Edain Shadowstar Posted - 31 Jan 2004 : 04:28:12
I solved that problem by tattoing the keys to my software on my arms. Kidding, of course. But I do know what you mean. when they print keys in manual I always flip because I am always afraid I will lose the manual or accidently throw it out. Also, on the no manual things, that seems to be happening with a lot of games lately, particularly rereleased games.

God how I hate CD-keys. Their so goddamn easy to disrupt/lose!

The last time I bought a game I almost destroyed the CD-key, even! The key was on the manual, and the genious that put it there figured that it would be a great idea to print it with some sucky ink that went off if you tutched it with your fingers. When I got home and discovered that (I had the Manual in my pocket, 'cuz I was waiting for the buss, and wanted something to read on) 6 numbers were GONE! THAT'S 1.000.000 different combinations!!!

Luckily, upon very close inspection, I was able to interpret 4 of the numbers, so it was narrowed down to 100... but I made it on the 10'th thry! Strange thing, that.

Good answer, Ezindir! I think Signal-9 was just about to call in the Software Piracy Police

Sorry I didnt read every reply, but...

If your game didnt come with any manuals... where was your game CD-Key printed?
EcThelion Posted - 28 Jan 2004 : 16:48:38
Hm. Well... I'd still pick the +2 ring for the Saving Throws. And the Extra AC is allways handy. And a +2 Ring with Gaxx (or a fancy +Wiz Spells ring) is my choice over Controll Fire Elementals, and day.

If you want Fire Res, just cast a Fire Shield. There u go 50 (or 75?)% fire resistance in a blink!
Ezindir the dark Posted - 28 Jan 2004 : 16:44:08
Well, with Ring of Fire Control or somthing, youl have 60 fire resistance + a few spells without casting time.

Hmmm, have you ever heard of items that give you a resistance to fire, oh forgotten one?

I wouldn't sacritifce +2 AC / Saving Throws for +50% Fire resistance.

I just had to say that.

Red Dragon Disciple it is, Ezindir. I have seen lately that putting my trust in you as an ally was not a bad decision at all......
Ezindir the dark Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 20:55:54
Red dragon diciple I would asume? And you YOU get fire resistance in lv 8 I think.
EcThelion Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 20:51:19
Talking to me? I meant the Prestige Class (Forgotten the nname) with the Dragon-stuff. Level 8, or 10, or something you gain innate Fire Immunity.

Ezindir the dark Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 19:45:43
No!!
That charackter was a mage dual vilding daggers, and that do not mean that I am a theif too you know.
And that charackter would probably not kill you or Elmister, no I was talking about my elven kensai.
EcThelion Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 19:38:58
Huh.... you're a Mage/Thief?
Ezindir the dark Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 19:07:05
Heard about a little spell called breach?
EcThelion Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 18:11:39
I usually tend to STAB time, not SPEAR it. (heeheehee)

Okay, then. You survived my innate ability. How do you propose to damage me while I'm protected by my Greater Stoneskin?
Ezindir the dark Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 16:26:20
I'm sure I could find some way to escape that, but I do not have as much time to spear as you.
EcThelion Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 16:21:20
How about a... (I know this doesn't work in NWN, but what the heck!) Contigency Fireball,, Fireball, Sunburst!? Let me see you dodge *that*.

Anyways. I meant the Innate ability. (Gotta love 10D10 daamge... it is 10D10, right?)
Ezindir the dark Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 15:59:32
Well if it is a fireball you are talking about, Yes we can escape it by dodging, so I think you have a dagger in your back.
EcThelion Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 12:24:15
I'll just blow everything around me into smitherines! You can't hide from the explosion! WOhaha!
Shadowlord Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 01:24:11
So? I can hide in plain sight, so you cant see me, then I shall backstab you, Haha!
EcThelion Posted - 19 Jan 2004 : 00:02:02
I will burn you all to... to... something that is very burnt! Hah!
Shadowlord Posted - 18 Jan 2004 : 22:48:48
Oh, well, you would be known as an epic shadowdancer and get a few more abilities, but i won't spoil it anymore for you....
Ezindir the dark Posted - 18 Jan 2004 : 22:46:16
Is suppose not, it can be pretty dangerus on the streets wihtout a drow/shade assasin to protect you.

But what about my question about the epic classes?
Shadowlord Posted - 18 Jan 2004 : 22:43:57
You would not be able to live without me, my friend.
Ezindir the dark Posted - 18 Jan 2004 : 22:33:36
Shadowlord, what should I do without you?
And by the way, dosent they get any skills beyond lv 10, or do they count as a new class when the get epic?
Arivia Posted - 18 Jan 2004 : 22:32:17
Ezindir, take a look inside the 'docs' folder of your NWN install. There should be pdf versions of all three game manuals within.
Shadowlord Posted - 18 Jan 2004 : 22:16:03
Ha, a shadowdancer is my class, huh, it figures......
Its in the name, you know, SHADOWlord.

Shadowdancer:
Operating in the border between light and darkness, shadowdancers are nimble artists of deception. They are mysterious and unknown, never completely trusted but always inducing wonder when met.

Rogues, bards and monks make excellent shadowdancers, but fighters, barbarians, rangers and paladins also find that shadowdancer abilities allow them to strike at their opponents with surprise and skill. Wizard, sorcerer, cleric and druid shadowdancers employ the defensive capabilities inherent in the prestige class to allow them to cast their spells from safety and move away quickly. Despite their link with shadows and trickery, shadowdancers are as often good as evil. They may use their incredible abilities as they wish.

Shadowdancers often work in troupes, never staying in one place too long. Some use their abilities to entertain. Others operate as thieves, using their abilities to infiltrate past defenses and dupe others. All shadowdancer troupes maintain an aura of mystery among the populace, who never know whether to think well or ill of them.

Shadowdancer Special and Spell-Like Abilities
Each class has a range of abilities that make it substantially different from the other classes. These abilities are an integral part of your character’s class, and mastering them will aid you.

The following are class features of the shadowdancer prestige class. Please note that a spell-like ability is mostly the same as a spell except they are gained automatically and do not need to be memorized, and (most importantly) do not show up in a spell book.

Hit Die: d8
Skill Points at Each Level: 6 + Int modifier
Proficiencies: Simple weapons and light armor

Level 1
Hide in Plain Sight: The shadowdancer is able to use the Hide skill even while being observed.

Level 2:

Darkvision - Able to see in dim areas.

Summon Shadow: Once per day, the shadowdancer can summon a shadow. This shadow is extremely difficult to turn and becomes more powerful as the shadowdancer gains levels.

Level 4:
Shadow Evade: Three times per day, the shadowdancer can call upon the shadows in the area to help conceal her. She gains a 5 percent concealment bonus, damage reduction of 5/+1 and a +1 AC bonus. The effect lasts for 5 rounds. This improves to 10 percent concealment, 5/+2 damage reduction, and +2 AC bonus at level 6 and at level 8 it becomes 15 percent concealment, 10/+2 damage reduction and +3 AC. At level 10, Shadow Evade grants 20 percent concealment, 10/+3 damage reduction and a +4 AC bonus.

I think I am going to be a shadowdancer, and anyway a 1/4 Drow 1/4 Avariel and a half dragon would be a little stupid.
