Hello, all.

Back in 1369 DR, Randal Morn had reclaimed the throne of Daggerdale, but he did not have any heirs, male or female. The only other Morn heir was Randal's sister Silver, who was married to into the Cormaeril family of Cormyr. Does anyone know if there has been indication in any 4E books, supplements or articles as to fate of the Morn family in Daggerdale?

Cheers,

From what I know through play in Ed's "home" Realms campaign, Randal Morn has fathered at least four children over the years. One was killed in infancy, two were spirited far away from Daggerdale with their mothers (by the Harpers) to be raised in relative safety while Randal fought the Zhentarim to try to hold and then to try to regain Daggerdale, and play hasn't yet progressed far enough for me to say anything useful about the still-VERY-young third.
I'm not sure how much of this has crept into published Realmslore, but it's in the notes Ed has given TSR and re-given to WotC far more recently, so Phil Athans could well have drawn on it.
love to all,

Do we know the genders of the Morn kiddies, my Lady? And are they all human?

Also, I'd like to know the birthdates of the Morn children, milady, if Ed's got them on-hand somewhere? As I don't immediately recall them all being mentioned in the Realmslore...

Well, since Randal Morn had no known children when he reclaimed Dagger Falls in 1369, he must have fathered children thereafter. Thanks for that. Where exactly is this found? Did you mean Realms of the Undead?

Cheers,

Gomez might know. He is the Writing Director for the Dales in LFR.

Or maybe one of the other Realms Designers of free-lancers will come along and enlighten us about it.

To my knowledge, the only mention of Daggerdale has been in the 4e Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide on pages 108 and 111, which describe the Dale's history briefly and allude to current monster problems; it says nothing of the Dale's post-Spellplague leadership.
