Honored Sages,

Herein, I wish to compile a scroll of the known children of the deities. Celestials and archfiends/demon princes work, too.

By its nature, there may be spoilers herein, so ye be warned!

Fire away, and wow us with your realmslore!

Also, in your expert opinion:

What race would the child of a deity be? The same as the mother? A half-celestial or half-fiend? What about if the deity is neutral in alignment?

Cheers

In fact, I don't think there's any mention of him being a deity until he woke up under Zhentil Keep.

Hmm. That's a good question. I assumed that as well, that he wasn't always a deity.

As a "mortal," he led an army (consisting at least partly of fiends or people with fiend powers) against Westgate, I believe, took over the city and ruled for a long time, before being deposed and -- then, I think -- imprisoned beneath Z.K.

So he was powerful, that we know. Epic, likely.

Was he a son of Bane, if he had a bit of Bane's divine essence?

Anyone got an official realmslore answer?

Cheers

Well, he has been called the Baneson. And Faiths & Avatars does specifically call Bane his father.

Are you speaking of mortal and near-divine children, like the Seven Sisters, or deific children, like Eilistraee and Vhaeraun?

I meant mortal and near-divine children, indeed. Thanks for clarifying, good hamster.

khorne: Well, Magadon seems to be a tiefling, rather than a half-fiend, so that's why he seems about like a human or only slightly more powerful. I know -- it struck me as odd that a direct pairing between a devil (an archdevil no less) and a human produced a tiefling (you'd think it'd produce a half-fiend), but the vagaries of blood and heredity being what they are. . .

Think it indicates that his human blood is stronger than his devil blood? Or will he one day descend further into darkness and manifest true devilish powers? Only time (and Master Kemp) will tell.

Also Abdel Adrian, from the BG series -- son of Bhaal and a human woman. He doesn't seem to be a half-fiend at all -- something else entirely. Anyone know of a half-god template?

Not to mention other Bhaalspawn like Imoen and Sarevok. . . which I just did.

Others?

Cheers

In Eric Boyd´s Powers and Pantheons are given the names of the mortal descendants of the manifestations of the Mulhorandi Pantheon.

Yes, I´ve wondered about that one. Magadon is not weak, but he is far weaker than I imagined the son of and archdevil to be, even if he is half human.

Well there's the Seven Sisters and they are human with elven blood and divine blood.
