In the book Waterdeep when Cyric kills Bhaal, lets say Cyric had a life stealing blade (like the one Artemis Enteri uses). Would it be possible when he killed Bhaal, he would gain his life force thereby making him a god?

Just a crazy thought I had to come mind, after reading the book.

In my opinion, if Cyric used a life stealing blade, on a god ,as a mortal, stealing all of the god's power, then Cyric would have been destroyed, considering that the power of a god is too much for any mortal to contain. Fortuanately for Cyric Godsbane was able to store the power of a god, while protecting him from the god's destruction. Maybe there is evidence that I'm wrong about this, but that is my hypothesis. Feel free to discredit it.

Mayhaps he would gain a sliver of Divine Rank, such as Divine Rank 0. It's higher than most mortals, yet lower than the weakest demigod, right where Cyric belongs, in my opinion.....
