I've been figuring with the relative success of my previous 'Anti-Arcane Spellcaster' thread that this would be on the horizon. Anyway...

1) Dwarven Defender character, likely with Fighter or Paladin as base class. Likely Shield Dwarf, Gold Dwarf or (if Fighter or Paladin of Tyranny) Gray Dwarf, depending on region and alignment.

2) Barbarian, likely staying strictly in said class. Race doesn't matter as much but could be Human, Half-Orc, Shield Dwarf or (depending on region) Wood Elf or Wild Elf.

3) Cleric with the Fate or (if using my homebrew domains) Fear domain, and some levels in Rogue. Optionally, a Druid utilizing an Animal Companion or Wild Shapes that help with detection.

4) Rogue, likely with max ranks in Listen, Search and Spot. Disable Device may likely also be useful (namely if enemies utilize traps).

5) Sorcerer or Wizard (namely a Diviner) with numerous spells that aid in detecting stealthy opponents (particularly from the Divination school of magic).

That's what I can think of off the top of my head.

Guardian Paramount is from Epic Level Handbook.

Devoted Defender I am familiar with thanks to Sword and Fist. Guardian Paramount, I recently heard of thanks to LordofBones and his 3.5 Edition deity revamps. Where he said it is from, though, is evading me.

So for a little more context, here's what I was thinking with this party for possible campaign arcs:
1) Escort mission to protect a certain NPC (likely with valuable information or such) from assassins, namely from a group like the Zhentarim, the Iron Throne, an evil-aligned church/cult, etc.

2) The party is the actual target of the assassin(s), due to them jeopardizing a plan by their employer.

3) The assassin(s) is/are the target of the party, who is wanted for the murder of an important NPC (whether it's a canon NPC or one made specifically for the campaign). That, or they get wind of the plans of said assassin(s) and intend to stop t hem before the killer(s) complete their mission.

Yeah, should've thought of that. I swear my head's been just a hint foggy since I've been recovering from COVID.
