Lots of D&D-related and RPG-related softwares, tools, databases, libraries, etc on google. "World-building" has become something of a big industry. Some is subscription-based but much of it is still (and will always be) entirely free. Even Wizbro has migrated over to "digital tabletop gaming", from what I hear (although I'm a dinosaur with sometimes bad hearing, lol).
If you're struggling to reinvent the wheel then maybe take a look at some of the fancy suites out there.
The example you've provided is what they call "phonebook format" (traditionally name/address/number). So you might be able to adapt a "phonebook" template into your database or simply copy one over as-is with the text descriptors changed to fit your purposes. |

Resurrecting this thread to see if anyone is interested in utilizing any of the data entry I've done on this topic.
A few years back I started compiling information on Realms locations as a DMing resource for myself. The data is in several SQL tables, and primarily consists of a list of locations and a list of page numbers in various sources (mostly books, though there are some issues of Dragon that I included) where information on said locations could be found.
I believe I covered all the 5e sourcebooks through 2023, as well as all 3/3.5e sourcebooks and a decent number of 2e sourcebooks. There's a little bit of earlier content as well, though virtually no 4e content. I also included a decent number of 3rd party sources, especially for areas less covered in the core sourcebooks.
It's been a couple years since I've done any entry on this project and I'm unlikely to do more in the near future, but figured if someone else was working on similar project here it might be of use. The data's in a set of 5 MySQLWorkbench tables, let me know if you're interested and I can provide an export! |

I'd say you're better off taking that info and using it for the FR Wiki. It's already out there and in use by a bunch of people.
If nothing else, just a list of citations can be good, on existing articles, there. That's all I use the wiki for -- to find sources and look up the material myself. |
