Hello everyone
I've got to be honest. I've been around candlekeep for a few months now, lurking around, using your precious lore, staying silent. And too many times now have I tought " Hey, I could answers this, or I could just ask the scribes that" and I didn't. But enough hiding! That said, I fear your knowledge on this once-wonderful realm (yeah, I'm part of the $pellplague hatta') is far more greater than mine, so I may not be of much use, yet. I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more and more lore. So, pleased to meet you all.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here! 
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

| Thank you. I was wondering, does Candlekeep answers question for game mechanics? As in, is a player allowed to do this or that in combat, does this ability wards you from that spell? It rarely occurs, but my PC tends to always push the limits of what they are allowed or not (don't they all?), sometimes they push me in a corner and I must answer with a shameful "I don't know". Damn them, damn them all. |

Well, there are some of us that will 'help' with mechanics, but none of it's really official. Though the forums are mostly about lore, the mechanics to describe abilities/etc. do come up from time to time. And, being a math geek, I always love to crunch the numbers (spent several years creating several excel workbooks as character generators), so feel free to PM questions my way as well. I'm no way official by a long shot, but I do consider myself to be the Clarence Darrow of rules lawyers.

I actually DO know everything. I just have a very poor index of my knowledge.
