Or as warm as they can get at this time of year, when you live near the biggest frozen body of fresh water in the world! I've been an avid fan of the Realms for years, and have DMed a Realms campaign for the past 2.5 or so.

Rabies and I are both really excited to be joining your community, as she'll be taking her first crack at DMing soon, and I'd love to shoot the breeze with some other long time DMs, so I might get some wind back into my sails to hide behind my little cardboard fortress once more.

I'm presently trying to GM a Star Wars game, but that's going a little bit less smoothly than I'd like to admit in a public place.

Oops.

Greetings to you Raith, and welcome to Candlekeep.

Here you will find many curious questions pertaining to the extensive Realmslore of the FR setting. As well, you will also discover many fantastic answers -- some of which have even been generously provided by the Great Sages of the Realms themselves.

So please, take a look around. If you feel the need to ask a question, or to merely discuss some element of the Realmslore, then simply find the appropriate place or shelf within the library and open a scroll. One of our many knowledgeable scribes, the dedicated staff of Candlekeep, or even a visitor to these halls, will always be happy to assist you in learning more about the Realms.

See you in the library.

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Pretty much.

I mean, after nearly 7 years of greeting new scribes to these halls, it becomes somewhat difficult to come up with new introductory greetings each and every time.

Indeed. Though I have been pondering tweaking mine a bit... Mayhaps I'll do that to celebrate post 15000, when it happens.

I in fact have a page of pre-formatted links and quotes, so I can do a simple copy/paste whenever necessary. Any really useful link or quote that get used more than a few times goes on there.

As a matter of fact, both of their responses to your question were ALSO pre-saved, Brim.
