Vendui, everyone! I've been here for a while, but thought I should introduce myself properly. I'm a thiry-something wife and sometime cashier in a little town in the Texhoma area of Texas. I have two cats- Demona and Ash (both named for fictional characters, Demona from Disney's Gargoyles, and Ash from yes, the Evil Dead trilogy) I am the proud biological mommy for a little girl who was adopted by some friends of mine who wanted one, and am an aspiring writer of comics, fantasy, and romance. In about that order.
I also happen to be a Mod over on Marvel.com, so if anyone who likes comics ever visits the dite, you'll see me there. I'm MsMarvelDuckie on that site, as well as posting frequently (under the same name as here) on Chosen of Eilistraee. I am a fan of the FR from way back, starting with Drizzt and Elminster. Pleased to meet everyone here!

Texas! I hail from Dallas. Welcome to Candlekeep. |
"These things also I have observed: that knowledge of our world is to be nurtured like a precious flower, for it is the most precious thing we have. Wherefore guard the word written and heed words unwritten and set them down ere they fade . . . Learn then, well, the arts of reading, writing, and listening true, and they will lead you to the greatest art of all: understanding." Alaundo of Candlekeep |

Oh welcome to Candlekeep. |
"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards." "Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding. "After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."
