Hello, I have finally decided to register after lurking for...well...over a year now. Although I am not even close to as knowledgeable as many I have seen posting here, I love the Forgotten Realms and am an aspiring writer myself, creating my own world with its own inner workings and past. I fell in love with this site as it is a fantastic source for deep, accurate knowledge on many topics regarding the realms...and also because I love its layout. I love the old schoolish look, I feel very comfortable here. Well...I hope to be posting soon on things I can contribute to, so hello to you all!

Welcome to Candlekeep!
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay! |

Well met. Welcome to the Keep. |
"These things also I have observed: that knowledge of our world is to be nurtured like a precious flower, for it is the most precious thing we have. Wherefore guard the word written and heed words unwritten and set them down ere they fade . . . Learn then, well, the arts of reading, writing, and listening true, and they will lead you to the greatest art of all: understanding." Alaundo of Candlekeep |

| Well met, young scribe! Pull up a chair, order a mead, peruse the scrolls (careful of the mead) and if you have any questions, feel free to ask away! |
I actually DO know everything. I just have a very poor index of my knowledge.
