Well met all. I've been interested in D&D all my life, but I've only actually been playing the past few months. That being said, I've been interested in the Forgotten Realms since I was a teenager when I read The Dark Elf Trilogy.
Anyway, I'm glad to see a website like this dedicated to the Forgotten Realms, and I hope to engage many of you in conversation about the Realms.

| Thank you Brimstone. Is this still a fairly active forum? I love it that there is an entire website dedicated to FR. |

Welcome to Candlekeep!
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay! |

Welcome.
(Someday I'm going to get to one of these threads before the Wooly One and use his standard greeting before he can do it. *cackles manically*) |

Thank you and well met to all for the gracious and warm welcome! I am overjoyed to see that this forum is alive and well since I am but a neophyte to the realms and have much to learn!
Bright Blessings

I will sic a swarm of Miniature Giant Space Hamsters on you, if you do that. I've got a swarm right here, waiting, foaming at the mouth... Yes, hamsters can foam at the mouth. It's scary and cute at the same time! |

My devil-cat from Mölndal can take care of three swarms of miniature space hamsters and have time left to lick his bee-hind before supper. ...and then I'll summon my troupe of vuvuzela-playing flumph-bards. |

Welcome! It can get "very active" here depending on what pops up! But, is usually a nice steady river of Realms knowledge. Whatever else you do here you must read the Ask Ed Scroll on the Chamber of Sages shelf! Where else can you glimpse the musings of the FR creator himself? |

Likewise, if you need to track down obscure Realmslore, start with a search of the forums (plus the archives of So Saith Ed) and then if you come up short, feel free to start a topic in the "Sages of Realmslore" forum and then watch as scribes scramble through obscure tomes to come up with an answer. |
