Hi all, as the title suggests I am mind boggled by your site. You have a plethora of information, people, and informative people .
You've got a great thing going here, and I intend to use every resource I can find to boost my knowledge of what people want, and of the realms. I hope this can eventually bring prosperity to the RP website I have recently inherited.
Anyway, feel free to say hello to Wulf Waters here http://forum.candlekeep.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14032, at the Grounds of Candlekeep.
Cheers,
Wulf

Oooo, fresh meat---I mean, um....Hi. I'm one of those "people" you mentioned as opposed to "informative people." But I RP addictedly at the Inn. |

Welcome. Good to see a new face. Out of curiosity, how did you find us?
edit: And if you really want your brain to explode... have you taken a gander at the Ask Ed threads yet? |
Doggedly converting 3e back to what D&D should be... Sigh... And now 4e as well. |

| Welcome to our little corner of the internet. Don't worry about all those rumors about us eating new members. Really, it's just a rumor. |

@Laerrigan: I'm nice with sage and lemon, pepper doesn't hurt either. It hides the taste of horrible.
@Hoondatha: I found you through Erik Scott de Bie's blog. No I've not had a chance to look at Ed's thread... I fear my what you suggest will happen and I need my brains.
@ Halidan: Are you sure? My body will be quite vulnerable for harvesting once my brain explodes.

Welcome, and don't mind the 'heated' debates. The 'heated' part aside, you'll find they are almost always very enlightening and help to broaden all of our knowledge of the Realms.
I learn far more from people who disagree with me then I ever have from people who agree with me - this is an amazing site and never take anything personally... we are, under most circumstances, quite cordial to one another.
As for the 'eating' part, we only do that during the harvest festival, under the light of a new moon, otherwise we don't get to absorb your soul along with all the tasty bits. |

Wait, we're not eating new members anymore? I didn't get that memo.
And welcome, Wulf. |

| I need to hold off on sampling the local cuisine now? Bunch of positive energy bigots....Can I get a compensatory discount on cheesecake and booze for my wounded self-esteem? |

Hey Wulf! How's my tied-for-favorite Australian and his lovely wife?
Fellow scribes, this guy is involved in (runs?) faerunrp.com--a Forgotten Realms-only play-by-post site. He may be new to CK, but he's a devoted Realmsian.
Cheers |

Welcome to the Keep, Wulf. And yes, as Halidan says, it's just a rumor. And don't worry about Markustay, either; he's harmless, unless you have an allergy to well-drawn maps or well-thought-out answers. Personally, I'm a big fan of both.
And yes, the Ask Ed scrolls will blow your mind. Hopefully The Sage gets around to posting the more recent PDF compilations soon... </hint>

Playing in the Realms since the Old Grey Box (1987)... and *still* having fun with material published before 2008, despite the NDA'd lore.
If it's comparable in power with non-magical abilities, it's not magic. |

Aye.
As I've said before, ultimately, 'tis Alaundo who uploads the files. I don't have full access to that section of the site. So I'm just waiting on Alaundo to collect up the compiled files I have. |

Also thanks for the intro Erik, can I put it in my CV
Thank you for the welcome everyone! Hopefully I can provide more than a couple of rump steaks to this place.
With regards to the website don't go there , I'm in the middle of an overhaul. I'm also new to the whole admin thing and I'm still working out the finer details |

Three cheers for Radelaide :p, I'm actually part way through a year long honeymoon at the moment, how is Adelaide? I hear the drought is broken and the Murray is flowing again.
Thank you Sirrah! |

| Hmm....Wulf will have to tell us when his site is up again. And I suppose the newcomer can remain unsampled due to covering from on high.... <slinking back into the shadows with a truculent glower and a comforting slice of cheesecake> |

Don't be shy, have a nibble, the real Wulf Waters is in the Gardens doing that himself.
The site is still running, but I would prefer if people wait until I have finished overhauling it. Particularly the 4e area. Is there anyone here who knows a bit about 4e? |

Dangerous question!
But yes, there are some here who know 4e. I am not one of them, however, so I will bow out and allow someone else to advise you. |

why is being a wizard like being a drow? both are likely to find a dagger in the back from a rival or one looking to further his own goals, fame and power
