I'd like to start a grand campaign covering the old classic TSR adventures from the earliest (e.g. N4 Treasure Hunt) up through the Times of Trouble, the Horde invasion, etc, However, in order to do that reasonably I need to have a rough chronology of what takes place when, but I cannot for the life of me find a list that dates those adventures according to Dale Reckoning, or any other sort of timeline. Can anyone help me?

Mod Edit: Found this floating in the ether.

The Forgotten Realms were officially introduced to 1E (AD&D) with FR0 Forgotten Realms Campaign Set ("the old Grey Box"), which placed the setting in the Year of the Prince (1357DR). Other 1E materials from this period include FR1 Waterdeep and the North, FR2 Moonshae, FR3 Empires of the Sands, FR4 The Magister, FR5 The Savage Frontier, FR6 Dreams of the Red Wizards, REF5 Lords of Darkness. Many of the events published in the earliest novels, modules, and magazine articles predate the Grey Box.

The Time of Troubles was officially set in the Year of Shadows (1358DR) and the setting was updated to 2E (AD&D 2nd Edition) with FRA Forgotten Realms Adventures. All FR products released from FR7 onwards were 2E.

Wikipedia has a fairly good article about all this here.

This excellent library is essentially the ultimate authority on dating events.

Some of the modules you name aren't specific to the FR setting (though they'll work fine), so you might not find details related to them anywhere in the "official" FR timeline.

There's no strict requirement for your game to accurately adhere to the published timelines, of course.

Been doing the same thing, I started with Ruins of Adventure which timeline-wise has to happen in 1340.

I just found this among my rusty old links, you'll probably find it very useful, OF.

As it happens I've also just started a similar project. As an opening trilogy I'm beginning with Under Illefarn (in Daggerford), then continued on to Treasure Hunt (the PCs are shipwrecked whilst sailing north, but they're won't be slaves), followed by The Accursed Tower module in Icewind Dale. I'm not sure exactly how it ties in with the official timeline though, and I'd be interested in seeing anything you come up with. I'm trying to also play the adventures in the ascending character level, although I think this will quickly prove impossible!
