Hello everyone! I've decided that I would like to get immersed into the Forgotten Realms setting, and what better way to join a comunnity about it! Just to point out, I'm totally new, the only book I've ever (About the forgotten realms) read (and I'm reading right now) is Drizzt Do'urden's: Homeland. Don't worry! I have done a bit of research. (I don't get one thing though: Dwarves. What are they? I've never heard of them! ). Well I'll hope you'll see me around on the forum. Cheers

Welcome to these forums, and you are not in A community about it you are in THE community about the Realms |

Welcome to Candlekeep!
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Welcome to Candlekeep, Huzzah huzzah huzzah.
I'm the scribe Wooly was talking about who only knows three things about the Realms.
If you're truly new to the setting (and interested in what it offers) then you might find the maps and wikis a useful starting reference. Homeland is an excellent introduction to the setting, but be aware that much has been written (and much has changed) since the story it depicted so many years ago. |
