I'm looking for some 3rd party published sourcebooks lately because I've found them VERY fun and interesting. I love how they shed their own light on races that haven't been touched up on and things of a similar nature. So here, I would like some suggestions of 3rd party published sourcebooks about the following species/races:

Elves (including Drow)
Fey
Illithids
Devils
Demons
Celestials
Elementals
Sylvan races (I guess including Fey, but sometimes they're separate)
Aquatic races

Please don't hesitate to put any sourcebooks that you find will be useful here (even if they're published by TSR or WotC).

Thanks!

For fey, go with Faeries, from Bastion Press.

Definite second vote for Faeries from Bastion Press.

Plus, Steven Schend, who partly edited the book, had this little bit to say back some years ago here at Candlekeep:-

"For those interested in another take/option on Faerie, there is a D20 option from Bastion Press y'all might want to take a look at.....

Bryon Wischstadt, long-time Realms fanatic and all-around good guy, wrote this guide to Faerie (both the realm/plane and inhabitants) and yours truly edited it alongside him. As both of us (and Jim Butler, Bastion's president, CEO, and chief cook and bottle washer) all have a deep and abiding love for the Realms, there's nothing in there that wouldn't work in terms of using Faerie as a source for ancient elves (or other more modern threats). It's a mix of old folklore and modern conceptions of Faerie and even stats up Old Man Winter, Father Time, and Father Christmas if you want such.

Steven
Who apologizes profusely for plugging a product but it seems relevant to the discussion at hand"

...

I'd also recommend Unveiled Masters: Essential Guide to Mindflayers from Paradigm Concepts [since the term/concept of "Illithid" was not considered part of 3e's OGL and thus, as protected Wizards content, couldn't be used in 3rd party D&D products]. It establishes a somewhat different take on the mindflayer race, and deviates a little on how and why they function in the 3e OGL games, but it's a decent enough source to work with. And if you're looking for a new way to define illithids/mindflayers in your game, then you'll find no better 3e source for these sinister creatures.

I personally have found the Slayer's Guide to ______ books useful. They provide cultural backgrounds and stats for multiple types of creatures within that culture.

That sounds interesting... Have to find a copy of that.
