Hello and well met. I have been lurking here for a few years and thought it was time for me to contribute to discussion on the Realms.
I'm a longtime fan of FR(Since about late '80s or early '90s), have played most of the computer games and I am steadily increasing my physical library of Realms-lore. No other RP setting has come close, in my mind, to the depth and richness of the Realms.
I've role-played quite a few Realms characters, everything from a LG cleric/paladin of Lathander, to a cold, manipulative, LE priest of Asmodeus. I recently ran a World's Largest Dungeon campaign set in FR, where several gods sent representatives into the dungeon to retrieve artifacts of their faiths.
But enough about me, I look forward to discussing and sharing my love of the Forgotten Realms with you all.

Welcome to Candlekeep!
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here! 
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!
