For those who watched international news, you probably knew a magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit the Philippines, specifically Bohol and Cebu City, yesterday past 8:00 a.m. I'm staying in Cebu, and I've had my fair share of earthquakes, but not as crazy-mad as that. Walls and floor cracked audibly, and dusts and debris flew everywhere as I rushed down the stairs. Part of the building just adjacent to ours practically collapsed. It's one of those times you can't help but wish you can teleport.

Till now there are aftershocks, some short but strong as to almost knock us off our feet.

My heart goes to those who . . . didn't make it . . .

Good to hear!

Know, also, that the peoples of the Philippines will be long in our good thoughts over the coming days.

Dude, glad you are well.

We haven't had a big one like that out here in San Francisco in a while and I hope no more earthquakeshappen in perpetuity.

Stay safe man. Get to somewhere else if you can - never know when a major aftershock will make everything worse.

Thanks, guys.

Yeah, I'll probably head back to my hometown, Davao, which is relatively far from the epicenter.

Fortunately, it's not that strong where I'm at. Samar and most coastal areas, however, weren't that lucky. People got to prepare days ahead though, so there's not that much chaos. Unfortunately, there are still casualties.

Death toll has indeed climbed, especially in Leyte and Tacloban. Lines of communication from many areas are still cut off, so we don't yet how fare the people there.
