Hi I would like a link or maybe someone give me the levels of Ryld Argith the Drow Weaponmaster "Extintion" is supposesdly coming to the local bookstore after I ordered it. I bought the books and Dragon magiazine with his stats but thats in storage in the states and I am not.
Err yeah so I think he is like thief 3 Fighter X and weapon master X.
Ok I am not going to get peole mad here a jump on a pedistal, I mean I like lots of violent stories with cruel characters (Iliad achilleus) Beowulf / Song of Roland) and I also like reading old violent histories like the Crusades- where they sacked Jerusalem and "purified" it by killing everybody.
And yet, I kind of have some bad feelings when reading the Drow novels, I mean I would not want children to read them. I wouldn.t want kids to play a lot of games or see movies etither. But basiclly I am saying that some of the characters specially the half drow demon, are really very sick / twisted / unreedemmable - and I do not like it that they continue to live.
I wrote a story about how a Palidin kills them all when the whole group is toghter raiding. (sort of like in the Homeland book with Drittz but this time the Drow all get slotted)
There was a jouranl article wrritten longgg ago about how the Freddy movies warp children's minds cause the evil character Freddy is unkillable and in a sense wins. Therefore the phchlogist argued that teens came to a sort of hopeless and depressed state unconciouslly. To some extent I would argue the same about the War of the spider Queen books.
Perhaps this was unwise to post bootless- however I remind everybody that I bought some of the books - or caused libros to do so, and I am interested in the characters. However, I wonder if the athours could of still written them effectively and perhaps left out some of the more sickening / sadistic parts. I know my sigs kinda bloody but that Kuwait highway was da bomb. And I never kilt any helpless person and ate theier guts like that Jaggred guy even if I am the maddest Devil Dog too go on crusade.

The Hounds of Hellish Ethos hunger for red splash alone. The open field becomes an open wound a gaping mash of filth and steel hulks with their sweet smelling roasted carcasses- and here you thought war was a sweet white march. |
