Having finally finished this book, all I can say is that it was a triumph. I was extremely impressed with it, the amount of lore contained within was impressive and I thought the format worked well. I too dislike the trend of fewer maps (the lack of maps in SK bugged me) and I also dislike the reprinting of monsters from MoF (couldn't we just have a web enhancement, if it was really necessary at all?) But take nothing away from LEoF, I've drawn an awful lot of ideas from it and it's certainly one of my favourite 3E Realms books. It's also made me that bit more eager for City Of Splendours. |

It had to be all that Old North history or the Tethyamar write-up, surely!

Actually George, I did very much enjoy the Old North chapter. That and the High Forest one were my favourites not least becuase it's probably my favourite area of the Realms. But as I said before, I very much liked the format of the chapters and it gave pretty broad geographical coverage given the obvious limitations of the book size. |
