Actually, it was Regis who introduced Methil to his mace the hard way, but the illithid escaped through the floor(quite impressive, given the fact that his head had been smashed) |

If he escaped that mean's he still alive right? I think he would make a good villian myself, plotting drizzt downfall for the earlier defeat of himself and matron baenre |

No, I think he would make a pretty sorry villian really. I mean if Regis could take care of him... |
"Even before he first walked the world as a mortal, Cyric had the will to resist the random call of Fate and make his own fortune. As his newborn soul stood before the goddesses, he cast a light upon Tymora's silver coin, blinding them to his presence. The deities never saw the coin fall, never settled their wager on Cyric's destiny. Thus was he born into the world without any fate save the one he himself could forge." -- from the Cyrinishad |

I don't know about that just because you may be physically weak doesn't mean you can't be a good hero or villian you could use charisma to get what you want or intelligence to plot behind the scenes you don't need to bash everything in after all there's more then one way to skin a cat |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't disagree with you, it's just in my opinion, this squid had his day in the sun.... scratch that-day in the faerie fire, whatever. You're right, you don't have to be extra strong or have powerful art. The problem with this guy is that I just can't see him as a revenge guy. I see him more as an oppurtunist that got out while he could, and if he gets another oppurtunity then, the same thing would probably happen, and he knows it. I mean he was really hiding behind house Baenre's power, he was just a tool for the Matron, not a real threat by himself. |

I think Methil escaped Drizzt and companions - I don't think he is mentioned anymore, unless I missed reference to him in the WotSQ series. Otherwise, he probably just went back to his little community of Illithids and lived happily ever after with a bunch of Mind Thralls.

I think someone like Methil would fit more in the role of a co-villain, he only helped Baenre cause he thought she was the most capable of ruling the Underdark, after her fall and his head-smaking by Regis, He left and it's problably he went back to his Illicid city, and I don't really think he would be able to perform as a master villain by himself... |
