Here's a good question for you guys. It isn't actually Realms-related, but ... I don't know. Someone'll probably have some interest in this.
In the first campeign I played in, the DM for some reason gave us the Eye of Vecna while we were at level 5! And, not knowing what the Eye really was,my character,a red half-dragon named Surtur ate it.
Does anybody have any idea what effect eating the Eye of Vecna could have on my character? Or any suggestions for the DM?

Possible alignment shift. Indigestion and other related bowel distress. And a very confused "Wow i ate corn and the eye of Vecna!" a day or so later. |

The character intentially ate the artifact, but he thought it was just a normal human(oid)'s eyeball.
Wandering_mage, I'd actually like to hear some of them if you wouldn't mind.
And Jorkens, what exactly do you mean by "great Insight"? |

This is a DM call, however I do not see any reason that eating an Artifact any different then eating a PC. It depends on the power level and abilitities of item comsumed as to what if any adverse effects might occur.
In this case IIRC the Eye corupts when the prosessor plucks out their own eye and places the Artifact in place of it. I could be wrong and the Eye might have corupting effects while in possession of the Dragon. I infer that the Eye will not digest well and in normal course will be expelled as a normal body function. It might just cause bad dreams or indigestion while in the body, it of course might result in more interesting effects. Saves should apply. |
"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards." "Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding. "After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first." It should Come out as Kentinal says unless it gets stuck in the Intestines of your half red Dragon. Small items do that from time to time in regular people.. Marbles, bottle caps, Little 'Risk'tm Men that are obviously on a deep incusrion of a terrestrial Body ( ) |

Sorry, just an incredibly bad joke as the result of reading posts to early in the morning. I will look up the Eye of Vecna and see if I can think of something useful to say instead. |
