Hello-

WOTC have listed their products for the first trimester online.

Cormyr: tearing of the Weave has a page, as well as some base-D&D supplements.

I am collecting the D&D Minis. I would be more than willing to trade with people. You can send me a PM here with your email listed - and I can send you my minis list. Thanks!

Successfully traded with Xysma!

Expedition to the Demon Webs is generic... I wonder if they provide rules to adapt it to the Realms

Complete Scoundrel is indeed a Complete Adventurer supplementary type book. The authors (Paizo editors) posted over on Paizo's boards that this will be much like Complete Mage, in that there will not be new 20 level base classes, but there will be expanded information for playing some of the "adventurer" classes (i.e. ninja, scouts, spellthieves). On top of that there will be new information for "roguish" type characters.

Expedition to the Demonweb Pits is indeed generic. Wolfgang Baur mentioned at Paizo's boards that they do nominally mention the drow city on Greyhawk in the adventure, but most of the adventure takes place in the planes, so its not rooted on Prime Material location. Given that Expedition to Castle Ravenloft had (relatively short) notes for conversion to the Realms, there may be some notes in the set up section of this one as well (I imagine even using the new cosmology it would be easier to adapt this to the Realms than, say Eberron, which has NO similar planes . . . )

It runs under the Ravenloft label... so I basically was wondering if Wizards is going to revive the line in-house.

It would be interesting although there is the slight problem with the last ravenloft release where there was no demiplane of dread ...

The large print giveth , and the small print taketh away.

I original I6 and I10(?) didn't deal with a demi-plane either

The recent module wasn't a return to the setting, hence no Demiplane of Dread. The recent module was more a revamp of the I6 Ravenloft module, which was originally a stand-alone module. It was only much later that TSR decided to build a separate setting around the module.

Ahh okies

I usually don't bother to go into the history of the game since I assume people are as crazy as I am and just know this stuff.

Maybe I should explain to some people that the good old days were before PCs became commonplace and the internet was something beyond our grasps, and when changing the game actually meant changing the entire system, not the era...

I still don't get the importance of the novel and what it could mean.

Maybe there's just interest in Ravenloft novels?

The book isn't a generic D&D novel, it runs under the Ravenloft moniker. This could mean they are going to revive Ravenloft as a setting...

As I understand it, the Ravenloft novels were fairly popular on the first run. Since then, several of the writers rose to become best selling authors, meaning WotC has control over a few of their books. Reprinting them could just be a win-win situation for WotC.
