I was trying to come up with different adventuring ideas that could be use for worshipers of Finder Wyvernspur. I am shooting for 10 good hooks that could be developed more, but any more than that would be welcomed. I would love to hear comments or even ways that they hooks could be adapted to other gods if you would like to see that.

Thanks and enjoy.

1) Try to court a Song Dragon as a potential ally to the church or even a worshipper.
Sub-hook: Could try to create an agreement with Olothontor for certain wealth and aid in exchange for songs and magical musical items
2) Travel the planar haunts to find potential outsider aides for Finder.
A) Potentials for servents: Eladrin (especially Firre), Lillend, Non-evil Succubi/Incubi
3) Create an alliance with dieties with similiar interests as Finder.
a) Potential allies: Human gods: Deneir, Gond, Lliira, Mystra,
Sune, Waukeen
Elven/Drow gods: Corellon Larethian, Eilistraee,
Hanali Celanil
Dwarven/Gnome gods: Dugmaren Brightmantle, Garl
Glittergold, Sharindlar
Hin gods: Cyrrollalee, Sheela Peryroyl
Sub-hook: A cult of Moander that is controlled by Lolth is trying to prevent alliances of Finderites with elven gods or Eilistraee. Or replace Lolth with Yurtus and the elven gods with dwarven or gnome gods.
4) Attempt to capture and train celestial wyverns as potential temple guardians or as aids to the faith.
A) Other templates could include metallic or song half-dragons, half-celestials or half-feys.
5) Rescue a member of the Wyvernspur family that has been kidnapped to force Finder to do a dark deed.
A) Could be replace with a group of Saurial children or one or more of the Alias vessals.
6) Travel to a town or city to start a backroom shrine that would allow the word of Finder to spread across the land.

Hello-

I dont know a lot about Finder - and dont recall seeing much in-print about his followers or rivals - besides the deific entries in the related books.

One thought comes to mind though. How do the parties mentioned throughout Serpent Kingdoms feel about his governance of the 'Saurials' domain? IIRC - the Saurials are from 'otherwhere' and not native to Toril - and as such - dont directly effect those mentioned in Serpent Kingdoms necessarilly. However - some of the far-thinking of them might view that as just the tip of the iceberg - and may try to thwart Finder so that he does not expand his domains to cover other related areas, or even go so far as to try and subvert the Saurials to become part of their number.

Since Finder is a relatively new god, and not really having stepped into a previous position like Mystra did - or completely revising an existing faith (Like Kelemvor did) he does have some learning to do. The F&P (2ed) listing (p14) lists only Mystra and Selune as his allies, and no real enemies. The listing in F&P (3ed, p 93) lists the same basic information - and hints at opposed deities a little more.

Also - IIRC - some Sages have speculated that Moander may return. This could possibly erode some of Finder's power - and most certainly earn Finder another enemy. :)

Just a couple of thoughts. :)

I am collecting the D&D Minis. I would be more than willing to trade with people. You can send me a PM here with your email listed - and I can send you my minis list. Thanks!

Successfully traded with Xysma!
