Racial Abilities

Secret doors - Because of their acute senses, elves are quick to spot concealed doors and hidden entranceways. Merely passing within 10' of a concealed door allows an elf a one-in-six chance (a 1 on 1d6) to notice it. If actively searching, an elf's chances improve to a two-in-six chance (1 or 2 on 1d6) to find secret doors, and a three-in-six chance (1, 2, or 3 on 1d6) to notice a concealed door.
Stealth - When the elf is alone and is not wearing metal armor, he gains a bonus to surprise opponents. The opponent suffers a -4 penalty, a -2 if the elf has to open a door.

Character Description and History

In his ownership: He has a payroll of 10,000 different people. His salaries range from 1sp a week for a maid to 5,000 gps a month for his personal "information service" agents. He has a full staff at all his houses, a personal guard of 15 Elven Bladesingers to keep him protected and informed, and his spy network are his major expenses, other than his "information" gathering agents A yearly 35,000 gps is needed to pay for his staff and guard. His intelligence gathering agents are an additional 35,000 gps. His Kenku spies require no additional payment, but 7,500 gps are requires for their upkeep and Tanae’s salery. His prized 4 Estates are worth 2,000,000 gps each in furnishing, paintings, knickknacks, and building costs in Silverymoon, Evermeet, Evereska, and Waterdeep. Also a farm outside of Shadowdale is in his name. The farm is super-productive with over 500 farm-hands and 10,000 acres. His spells make the crops grow faster and larger. It costs 10,000 gps to operate, but brings in over 120,000 gps per year. In Silverymoon and Waterdeep he keeps stables of fine horses. His horse, the Moonhorse Renean, is always at his side. It is a normal moonhorse, but with Queen Amlaruil blessings it can run at 40 kph. It was a gift from her and the two are great friends. He owns about 100 other horses from the North, South, East, and West. 50 are at Silverymoon, and 50 are at Waterdeep. A sailing vessel, The Golden Tide, is moored at Waterdeep and it has a crew of 20 on retainer. The boat and crew cost 5,000 gps per year to maintain. He has 15 spellbooks at his library at his Evermeet House. These contain his spell research and journals.

Appearance:

Shea Silvermoon is a dashing youthful Elf with Blond hair, Hazel Green eyes and a thin, muscular toned body. In his 20 years of adventure, he has gained a aura of roguishness and a swashbuckler’s love of life. He is seen in dashing cape, and stylish attire. His Moonblade is ever at his belt with gem settings on the handle and scabbard.

But during adventures he is in a Cloak, with Tunic and Leggings and his prized Mithral Elven Chain Mail. His bow Kethaesah and a Quiver of Ehlonna with Sheaf Mithral Arrows +1 and Silver Flight Arrows +2 is on his back. The Quiver continually creates more of the special arrows and a Harper symbol is sewn on the quiver, it was a gift from them.

Personality:

He is an outgoing, foppish rogue. A masterful flirt he is very charming. He loves company, and he always has guests at his houses and throws grand balls and parties. His diplomatic manners, and quick wit are his most favoured "party tricks."

He does have one major flaw, a neurotic desire for information and knowledge. His intellect is staggering, and if there is knowledge worth knowing he has it. Although pleasant company, he is a deadly enemy and to be his enemy is to be dead either from him, or his network of contacts.

Background:

Shea was born on the island of Evermeet. His House was of Eroth, a minor house with only 2 moonblades. He was raised by his loving parents, Lord Langlow and Lady Katherine, minor nobles in a minor house. But they had dreams for their son. When he was 50 he enrolled at the Academy of Arms and Magic at Evereska. There was 50 years of training for the young elf, of swordplay, archery, and magic. He was truly gifted, graduating at the top of his class. His parents overjoyed gave him Kethaesah, his mother’s bow.So with his bow at his side, he went out in the world. He travelled Faerun as a sell sword and freelance mage, until he found the Knights of Silverymoon. A rag-tag bunch, they need another sword to clean out a dungeon west of the city. They consisted of a Half-Elf Ranger Tanae Daerua, a Human Mage "Omega Star", two Dwarf Brothers Akgam and Kazad, a Fighter and Cleric, and Female Elven minstrel by the name of Naiwyn Sylyn. Nai captured his heart, body, and mind. She resisted his advances like a brick wall. Shea was so in love that he spend every spare copper on her. Naiwyn got the best rooms, wine, armor, weapons, clothing, all in vain.

The team became celebrities in Silverymoon and abroad. But Shea got called back to Evermeet for a very important mission. Because of his fame he was drafted by the Queen of Elves. He had to go to the Drow Underdark and negotiate a prisoner release. His mother and father were being held in Menzoberranzan for ransom. A captured Drow priestess would be given back to the Drow for his parents. The prisoner exchange didn’t go well and his father died defending his mother from the raiding parties sent to double-cross them. His father’s Moonblade and armor were passed down from father to son.

When he got back to the surface, he heard terrible news. The orcs had attacked Silverymoon and taken Naiwyn prisoner, among others. So lovestruck, Shea marched off to face the orcs. Using his skills as a diplomat he got the orcs to release her to him for 10 kegs of Bloodwine. Naiwyn then "warmed" up to him and after a courtship of 6 months they were married by High Lady Alustriel on the Moonbridge. And thus the House of Silvermoon began.The couple settled down, but Shea’s adventures were not over. A highly skilled Diplomat he was called upon many times by Queen Amlaruil for dealings with Dwarves, Humans, Dragons, Drow, and others. His contacts in various governments was developing into a spy network during this time. It began to recruit members and slowly grew. During his diplomatic mission to Cormyr his was able to acquire about 12 kenku eggs. Bringing them back to Silverymoon, he raised them with the help of his Half-Elf Ranger friend, Tanae Daerua. This dozen kenku, named Talon, Razor, Hawk, Night, Azure, Feather, Beak, Peregrine, Star, Beam, Wing, Branch, and Leaf, formed the basis of his kenku spies. They serve Shea and Tanae faithfully, mostly because of their loving care. Tanae is currently in direct command of the Kenku spies, and she reports to Shea of their progress. Tanae’s "payment" was the ability to use the Kenku in his judgement, as long as spy reports still come in. (1/3 of the Kenku are patrolling the woods outside of Silverymoon, Tanae’s charge of land.) After a trade bargain went very well for Evermeet with Waterdeep, he got the Moonhorse Renean, and he profited from the deal himself greatly, using the money to build his houses in Waterdeep and Evereska. After this major success the Harpers started their dealings with him. His houses are major strong points for Harper agents. For this he got a Quiver of Ehlonna, and his own Harper Pin.

When he got the Drow to abandon Shadowdale completely, he bought a farm just outside of the village. And over time his spy network spread all over Faerun, making him one of the most informed people in Aber-Toril.

This great hero is not without heirs. Shea and Naiwyn are currently raising 7 baby elves. These offspring are named Raerad (Male), Amaelain (Female), Caelath (Male), Lathonna (Female), Kansharan (Male) Nairuilera (Female) Lyianeth (Male)
