I greet all the sages that herein find shelter and strive to preserve the lore of our magnificent land.

...Guess I must introduce myself.

Well, Yuukale is my name, and as one of the People, I came here seeking histories and wisdom that here lie, specially those regarding my brothers and sisters.

I've been roaming the realms for some time, thus, whenever I see a chance to help the scribes, I will do so.

Finally, I'd like to ask the scribes a question, since I'm still new to this place:

"Is there any place here where you gather the lore about the People, the Elves ?"

Better to ask this before I open a scroll uncalled for.

I'm very interested in knowing the scribes opinion towards the recent changes of the names given to my People. I particularly do not agree with this division 'tween "Eladrin and Elf". But, what about you ? Have you discussed this before ?

Has "The Hooded One" spoken of this (on behalf of mr. Ed) ?

Well, I guess this is it for now. While you take your time answering me, I'm going to serve myself a glass of fine wine.

Many thanks.

to be nurtured like a precious flower, for it is the most precious

words unwritten and set them down ere they fade . . . Learn
then, well, the arts of reading, writing, and listening true, and they
will lead you to the greatest art of all: understanding."

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Now, for your questions... We have had several discussions abot elves, and Ed has spoken of them, as well. We don't have a collected "Elf thread" or anything like that, though.

I think that the general opinion of the elf/eladrin thing is that it was unnecessary.

Greetings to you Yuukale, and welcome to Candlekeep.

Here you will find many curious questions pertaining to the extensive Realmslore of the FR setting. As well, you will also discover many fantastic answers -- some of which have even been generously provided by the Great Sages of the Realms themselves.

So please, take a look around. If you feel the need to ask a question, or to merely discuss some element of the Realmslore, then simply find the appropriate place or shelf within the library and open a scroll. One of our many knowledgeable scribes, the dedicated staff of Candlekeep, or even a visitor to these halls, will always be happy to assist you in learning more about the Realms.

See you in the library.

As I thought, it's a sad thing you haven't separated the discussions on our brethren.
Well, as more experienced sages and scribes, does any special scroll comes to your mind regarding Ed's words or internal discussions on those matters ?
If not, I'll open one and let the answers and opinions flow in, that is, if it's not considered something inappropriate or uncalled for.

Once again, I thank you sages and scribes. I'm waiting the replies.

There are scrolls dedicated to discussions about the elves, if that's what you're asking about. Simply utilise the "SEARCH" function of the Forums to find any scrolls with "Elves" in their titles.

As for Ed's words, and a scroll to discuss them, look no further than the "Questions for Ed Greenwood (2009)" scroll on the Chamber of Sages shelf here at Candlekeep.
