Hi there.
I just stumbled over this site, after doing some online research of the the 4th edition.
I havent played any P&P for more than 15 years, my exuse was my other hobby diving, which has taken me around the world for the better part of the last 15 years.
Allthough i have been playing some online games, and have been very involved in EVE, from beta and onwards.
Now while moving to my new flat, i discovered all my old D&D stuff, which had collected alot of dust on my atic, and i remembered all the good times, i spent with old friends in the "Realms".
I looked through the old Grey Box, and all my own campaings i created as an DM.
So i made mental note, and started to research the D&D scene, to see what had happened with the realms i used to play in, apparently alot
This is how i found this site, and i must say im pretty impressed.
I have also promissed myself, to find some people in the city where i live, and start palying some campaings again, if i can find any  Reasons why is, that i need something besides sports, to fill my hobbies with, something intellectual and fun 
So before long i hope to be rolling those dices and make an impact and save some fair lasses.
Im looking forward to read all the different lore, and i can see i relly need to read up on FR.

Welcome to Candlekeep!
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here! 
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!  |

Thank you for the nice greeting, now where to start, any pointers ?
I have read some novels, allthough they have never been integrated into my own campaings, but it seems the realms today are alot different, from what i was used to:) |
