Hi all here at Candlekeep, hope you are all a fine. :)
What happened.. Yes I left role-playing and my dear Forgotten Realms due to the destruction of the realms with the start of 4 edition (my opinion), and work made it hard to find time to play.

But things has changed, I am back home from work ( I was in India working as a voluntary worker), and now I have the energy to start again.

Sadly it’s not Forgotten Realms I am trying out now, but Phathfinder the (new) open game system and in many ways - more advanced than the 3.5 system.

But back to you all… what happened with the 4 edition is it a big hit, or what.

Anything new here in candlekeep, I can see the many of you old ones still are here, are you playing 4 edition.

Your villain from the z keeps…

Hiya, Vic! Welcome back! I had wondered where you'd gotten off to.

Since you asked... 4E still has the community divided. As before, there's still a lot of people that really really like it, and a lot of people that utterly loathe it. There's a poll on Facebook right now about which version of the game people intend to use in August. Thus far, it's had almost 20,000 votes. Pathfinder has 37.1% of the votes, 4E has 26.4%, 3.5E 21.4%, 1E 9.3%, and 2E 5.7%.

Thinks I that it doesn't speak well of 4E's success to be trailing a remake of its predecessor, and to not be that far ahead of its predecessor.

Still, no one but WotC knows what their actual sales are, and they're not talking.

Welcome back! You may find that there is quite a discussion about Pathfinder here on this scroll.

"What mattered our lives now? When our world had been torn from us? Folk wept, or drank, or stood staring out over the land, wondering what new horror each dawn would bring."
Elender Stormfall of Suzail

"Anyone can kill deities, cause plagues, or destroy organizations. It takes real skill to make them live on."

Curious as to where to find this poll Wooly?

"Develop the latent abilities within you for that is your power alone. Psionics is the ultimate art of magic and you are its practitioner. Through lifelong dedication, strive to unite your will with your physical form to become one. Only through the unrestrained union of one’s mind and body can the magic of psionics truly be mastered. Throw off the yoke of any who would impose tyranny upon you. Likewise, do not ever force another to submit to your will. Free your mind, free yourself and you have only just begun the path to true psionic mastery. Free others, open their minds to the Invisible Art, and you will show them way to Auppenser."

It was on Facebook. I've not kept track of it since I made the original comment, so I've no idea where on Facebook it is, or what it currently looks like.

Hello again,

Nice to see your return.

My copy of the Pathfinder rules arrived today. It's a lovely system, and has managed to appear fresh and exciting. Much better, in my opinion, than the transition from 3rd Edn to V3.5.

Death is Life
Love is Hate
Revenge is Forgiveness

Ken: You from the States?
Jimmy: Yeah. But don't hold it against me.
Ken: I'll try not to... Just try not to say anything too loud or crass.

Victor, glad to hear from you!

The rats in the cellar have been asking after you... of course, these days I try to avoid the nasty beasts whenever I can (ever since they shaved my beard with a rusty, old razor I suspect *you* dropped in the cellar! Or maybe Wooly gave it to them?). They also said you owe them some money, but I think running a regular Pathfinder RPG campaign for them would cover the debt!

Hi Asgetrion I see you are a master now but you’re purse hasn’t gone bigger..
I am a little tired spying on you all here, so now i step out into the light for a moment.

I stopped role-playing because I didn’t have the time and because i wasn’t happy with all the sh.. with 4ed. So now I just gather information and read Forgotten realms novels.
A long time ago I asked a question regarding” The Mere of Dead Men”. Asking about maps and so one. The sages told me to look in a magazine, but sadly i lost that pice of information.
If anybody remembers in which issue dragon ore was it dungeon magazine there was a map and specific info on ” The Mere of Dead Men” I would be so :O)

Thanks for the welcome

Victor in the cellar

Ps dont touch my rats
