And I say in-between because I'm in an airport right now, going home from vacation from my other home and my plane doesn't leave for another hour. Yay...
Anymahoo, my name is Shardy, I'm 24, and have played a little bit of D&D before and especially love the Forgotten Realms game. I used to have a DM guide for FR... and then lost it. *crai* Well, that's moving for you. Or gnomes made off with it like they do with my socks from time to time. Sock-thieving gnomes aside, I'm not a very experienced player (never found the time or group to develop a good campaign) but I have read a lot of the novels and am always interested to get with others who love fantasy, especially Forgotten Realms, as much as I do.
Also, I'm here because I have a few characters I'd like to write about in this setting. However, due to my kinda-sorta-more-than-I-want-to-admit newbieness, I fear I don't know enough to create a valid setting (especially when my characters tend to be, uh, "different"). There's only so much I can BS. So the more I can learn, the better, right?

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
