i was reading some of the forum posts befor i joined and saw one that had items that were player created. well i was wondering if some one may be able to help me out on an item. its an already existing item actualy and its Jarlaxle's bracer of throwing daggers. im just curious but what allows him to extend these daggers into short swords and long swords? and if you could put the info on here that would be great!

Deekin?

The difficulty is that Jarlaxle has access to MANY different magic items and is constantly switching/updating them as his mood catches him.

There's two Character write-ups on the WotC boards (one of them mine) that details the bracers as being Bracers of Armor that have been enchanted to store the magical daggers:

Warlockco's House Baenre writeup (Jarlaxle is near the end).
My entry (requested by LK for his Elves of Faerūn netbook)

Tebryn14's write-up (here) also include 2 +3 Keen Shrinking Longswords in his entry, to account for the weapons you're talking about.

Most of the write-ups were basing Jarlaxle's equipment from the old Villain's Lorebook sourcebook, hence why there are so many similarities.

Hope that helps!

I actually DO know everything. I just have a very poor index of my knowledge.
